Sport and movement in Romagna

Besides being renowned for its beaches, parks and countless attractions, the Riviera Romagnola is also known for the sporting events it hosts and for the places used for them.

Cesenatico in particular is a city that hosts various sports events during the winter and spring, such as athletics competitions, football and volleyball tournaments. 

Among the most important sporting events are worth mentioning:

• Easter Sailsthe sailing regatta held every year at Easter in Cesenatico
• Nine Hillsthe most famous bicycle race in romagna, an annual appointment in May
• Pantanissima, the cycling granfondo dedicated to the memory of the Pirate, in the spring.

During the summer there are also a series of appointments, competitions and sporting events involving every discipline.

Events are mainly held at theEurocampa large multi-purpose sports centre close to our hotelswhich offers several courts for football, basketball, tennis, beach volleyball, beach soccer, table tennis, and a well-equipped weight room as well as an athletics track.

Even the municipal stadium A. Moretti in Cesenatico is easily accessible from our hotels and often hosts major events and sports tournaments.

The Nine Hills

Undoubtedly, the sporting event that is most popular with the competitive public and nationally known is the Nine Hillswhich takes place every year in Cesenatico in May. 

The first edition of Nove Colli dates back to 20 May 1971, when a group of cyclists started the first tour. Every year since then, the renowned Nove Colli has been repeated in Cesenatico, attracting thousands of people.
